This year, I had some truly amazing young men step in front of my camera for their senior photos, and Dean was definitely one of them. From the moment we met for his consultation, I could tell he was excited for his session and had a clear vision of what he wanted. One thing at the top of his list? Urban shots.


I have absolutely loved working in downtown Menasha this year—it offers such a great urban vibe and is really coming into its own. The textures, architecture, and variety of backdrops make it such a fun place to photograph. We spent the first part of Dean’s session wandering around a two-block radius, capturing a wide range of looks.

I love how much variety you can get in such a small area, and Dean fit right in.


After that, we headed to the waterfront in Neenah for the second part of his session. This spot never disappoints. Between the rocks, the open sky, and the dock, it’s always a beautiful setting, and Dean’s outfits were absolutely perfect for each location.


We shared plenty of laughs during this shoot, and it was such a pleasure getting to know Dean—and his mom—better. Sessions like this are always a reminder of why I love what I do.
