A Morning of Creativity, Collaboration & Connection

A morning spent surrounded by two other wonderful photographers, an incredible makeup artist, an amazing florist, a talented jeweler, stunning models, and beautiful products from some wonderful local businesses is, without a doubt, a morning well spent.

This creative shoot at Studio North in Milwaukee was beautifully planned and brought together by Jenny from Lumiere de Bougie, and I am so incredibly thankful that she included me.

I first met Jenny a couple of years ago, and it has been such a joy to watch her business grow and thrive. She works incredibly hard for everything she has built, and you can truly see how much heart and passion she pours into her work. This shoot was no exception. Jenny put so much thought, creativity, and love into every detail, and it all came together in the most beautiful way.

But I think what I loved most about this day was that there was no competing — only collaborating.

Elegant silver tray with candles, crystal candlesticks, antique teapot, and fresh wildflowers arrangement on dark table.

There was no pressure to be the best or get the perfect shot before someone else did. Instead, there was encouragement, laughter, creativity, and a genuine desire to help one another. We worked together to make sure each photographer had the opportunity to capture the images they envisioned. We shared ideas, admired each other's work, and simply enjoyed getting to know one another better.

It was refreshing.

It was inspiring.

And it was exactly what I believe a creative community should be.

I was especially thankful to finally meet Roberto with Roberto Leon Photography and Ashley from The Ash Tree. Not only are these two incredibly talented photographers, but they are also genuinely kind and wonderful people. It was such a pleasure getting to spend the morning creating alongside them.

From the beautiful details to the talented vendors, gorgeous models, and all of the little moments in between, the entire morning was filled with creativity and connection. There was so much laughter, so much encouragement, and so much appreciation for the talents each person brought to the table.

Days like this are a reminder of why I love what I do.

Photography can sometimes feel like a very individual art form — just you, your camera, and your vision. But there is something incredibly special about coming together with other creatives and realizing how much more beautiful the experience can be when we support one another.

Jenny, thank you for bringing us all together and for creating a day that I know none of us will soon forget. Your vision, hard work, and heart were evident in every detail, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.

Here’s to creative friendships, supporting local businesses, cheering one another on, and making beautiful things together.

What a morning. What a talented group of people.

What a wonderful reminder that there is room for all of us to shine.
