This was another extra special session for me this year.


I first met Walt and his family just three months after we moved back from Colorado in 2011. They moved in across the street, and we instantly became friends. I’ve had the joy of watching him grow from a rambunctious little kid into a kind, thoughtful, and generous young man. He’s had wonderful role models, and it truly feels like yesterday that all of these kids were running around the neighborhood or hanging out in our basement laughing. And now - here we are, senior year.


We started Walt’s session at Smith Park in Menasha. He loved the historic building there and was hoping for some images along the water, so this location was the perfect fit. From there, we moved into downtown Menasha. This block has quickly become one of my favorite places to shoot, and Menasha has such a great vibe right now.


We wrapped up the session in downtown Neenah and grabbed some portraits along the shores of Lake Winnebago. These images are definitely some of my favorites of him; although let’s be honest, I love them all. He did an incredible job and absolutely nailed his entire session.


Good luck in everything you set out to do, Walt! I know you’re going to go far.
